Aftercare

  • 1 - In 3-4 hours remove bandage and wash with warm soapy water using a mild soap.

AFTER YOU REMOVE THE BANDAGE DO NOT REUSE THE BANDAGE FOR ANY REASON.
  • 2 - Run hot water (not hot enough to burn you) over a CLEAN washcloth or paper towel, ring it out, and apply with pressure to freshly tattooed area.

This may cause slight discomfort but that is ok. Repeat process 2-3 times.
  • 3 - Let your tattoo air out for 15-20 minutes.
  • 4 - Apply a thin coat of plain, white, basic body lotion (does not matter what brand, but must be fragrance, Aloe Vera, and Vitamin E free).

Repeat as needed 2 or 3 times a day during the healing process. NOTE: use only a small amount. Do not put a heavy layer on. Rub it in thoroughly and gently.
  • 5 - Wash tattoo 2 times a day for the first 3 days using a mild antibacterial soap.
  • 6 - While your tattoo is healing do not soak in the bathtub, sauna, hot tub, jacuzzi, or go swimming. Showering is fine.
  • 7 - Do not pick or scratch your tattoo while it is healing.

Do not wear tight clothing over your healing tattoo.

Do not let anything chafe or be abrasive to freshly tattooed area.

Failure to follow this could result in loss of color and/or infection.
  • 8 - Do not use tanning bed or expose your new tattoo to excessive sun while it is healing. Extreme sun and exposure can and will fade your tattoo.

This can be minimized by using strong sunscreen AFTER YOUR TATTOO IS HEALED.
  • 9 - Your tattoo should heal in approximately 2 weeks. If you have any questions or concerns during the healing process, please come by or call.
  • 10 - Some soreness, redness, swelling, and/or minor bruising to the procedure area is normal for the first few days.

If redness at the tattoo site continues past the first few days, any pustules or red lines appear outside your freshly tattooed area, consult a physician.
  • 11 - Avoid gardening, contact with animals, and recreational activities during the healing process.
